Jacki Mundy Makes Values

I’m making a conscious effort to be more value ( rather than task or outcome) driven in 2026 and here are my values as I see them. I’m sure they’ll evolve

Sustainability 

I work with reclaimed wood and retired trees, giving all my makes a meaningful second life.

Each of my makes honours the history, character, and natural limits of the wood it comes from, I aim to waste as little as possible. 

I make every effort to source raw materials from within the UK whenever possible, and always with consideration to the environment.

Quality

My makes evolve through care, attention to detail and craftsmanship. They are made to be used, appreciated and enjoyed for years to come.

Originality

Every make is one of a kind, shaped by the wood itself and the moment it’s made.

I may seek inspiration from life, nature and other woodturners (with acknowledgement).But, mostly ideas develop naturally at the lathe, shaped through exploration and hands on problem solving until the final form reveals itself. Resulting in makes that stand apart —  people often say ‘nobody else makes what I make’
