Native UK hardwood. Boxwood is better known for small hedges than trees. Obtaining boxwood tree of any great size is rare, making this a rarer piece.
Natural split filled with milliput. Sanded to a high grit. Finished with hardwearing microcrystalline wax.
Stalk is ebony and blossom end is a clove
